Today we started our day by going to a chocolate factory, De Karina. There we saw the process of how they made the chocolate by hand. Then we got to make chocolate bars for ourselves that were delicious. We then hopped back on the bus and went up to Mount Bental that was only a few hundred meters from the Israeli/Syrian border. From that viewpoint we learned about the struggles between Syria and Israel over the Golan Heights. We ate lunch at a nearby kibbutz, and then rolled out to the Jordan River where we went rafting. After a few hours of relaxing in the rafts we headed back to our kibbutz to get ready for dinner. After dinner we drove to Tiberius to go on a nighttime boat ride in the Sea of Galilee. After that we headed back to our kibbutz to go to bed to prepare for the next day. – Nate C.
